dc.description.abstract The main objective of the study was to investigate the role of motivation on students and teachers looking further within corridors of Limkokwing University, Botswana. The study looked further on identifying factors that influenced performance of teachers and students in higher education as well as investigating motivation strategies that can be employed within the education sector to better academic performance. The study adopted a case study design using qualitative technique. The researcher carried out In-depth interviews and systematic observations at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Gaborone. Students and teachers who took part in the study represented the six faculties of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Botswana. The six faculties were; Faculty of Communication, Media & Broadcasting (FCMB), Faculty of Architecture & The Built Environment (FABE), Faculty of Fashion & Lifestyle Creative (FFLC), Faculty of Business Management & Globalisation (FBMG), Faculty of Multimedia Creativity (FCM), and Faculty of Sound & Music Design Academy (SMDA). Four students were selected from each faculty comprising of two females and two males respectively. Two lecturers were chosen from each faculty also in gender equals. This study was conducted using case study method to investigate the role of motivation on students` and teachers` performance at Limkokwing University, Botswana. English was used during data collection with a bit of Setswana (local language) to ease communication. en_US
