dc.description.abstract This study sought to establish the extent to which people with disabilities (PWD) are employed in the hotel sector in Zimbabwe. The study was motivated by the continued emancipation of PWDs globally and industry’s increasing acceptance of the contributions PWDs can make. Using a qualitative approach (interviews with hotel managers), this study revealed that PWDs are not employed in Zimbabwe’s hotel sector. Stigma, lack of information/knowledge about disabilities, and supposed costs related to accessibility are the main challenges to the employment of PWD in the hotel sector. en_US
